Bahama Village is a neighborhood that is located on the southwest edge of Old Town in Key West.
It covers roughly 16 blocks- an area that lies southwest of Whitehead Street and northeast of Truman Annex. The streets that border Bahama Village are Whitehead, Southard, Fort, and Louisa.
Bahama Village is so named for its many original residents who were of Bahamian ancestry. It is still home to many residents as well as some of the best restaurants and shopping in Key West. It is definitely an area that is up and coming for real estate as many of the original Conch cottage style homes are being renovated, keeping with the historic charm of the neighborhood and Old Town Key West.
